Monica is now eight years old, she attends a community school under church of Uganda. These pay some little money that the churches set. But under several circumstances the mother has failed to pay. She is into the business of selling brooms that she hawks around the community. This can only offer something to eat for this family and will be one meal each day. The school fees therefore becomes a problem to this family. This term she has not been able to attend school because of the debts that had piled at her school and they denied her a chance to study until she clears all the school fees demanded from her ever since she joined this community school. As the mother goes to sell the brooms, she goes with her and she also carries her own load on her head for the times she is not in school. if she gets a sponsor we will have a social worker to follow her study schedules and advice the mother not to practice child labor. Monica loves to smile and she is a happy girl, she wants to be a designer when she grows up, she loves to skip a rope with her friends during her free time and she loves rice and beans as her favorite food.
A monthly sponsorship of $35 will provide all the scholastic materials like books, pens, and pencils and a noon meal.
Treasured Kids Primary School students may be sponsored for $35USD/$45CAD. This provides the child’s school fees along with a noon meal, a uniform, shoes and medical attention if it is needed.
When the child graduates from Primary Seven and enters High School, there is an optional increase to $50USD/$65CAD per month to cover the additional costs of higher education. The sponsor can choose whether or not to increase their support at that time.
